Australian Exchange Adds Shiba Inu to its Listing and Unveils Giveaway
Shiba Inu (SHIB), the second-largest memecoin, is set to gain more traction in Australia as it gets listed on Bitcoin.com.au, a leading Australian crypto exchange. In addition to this exciting development, the platform is also offering a $100 giveaway to participants who complete a simple task. With this listing, SHIB will now be accessible to a wider audience in Australia.
Bitcoin.com.au, with its impressive user base of over 300,000 and a decade of experience in the digital asset space, offers a wide range of cryptocurrencies, including popular ones like BTC, ETH, USDT, XRP, and ADA. SHIB will be the second dog-themed memecoin to be available on the Australian exchange, with DOGE already being offered.
It’s worth noting that Bitcoin.com.au is not the first Australian crypto exchange to feature the Shiba Inu token. Another local exchange called CoinJar has already listed SHIB.
Despite starting as a meme, the dog-themed cryptocurrency has gained significant attention from users worldwide. Last year, BitTrade, a Japanese exchange, also listed Shiba Inu and its competitor memecoin, Dogecoin.
Alongside the growing interest from investors, the SHIB project’s developer team has been proactive in introducing various utilities to foster engagement with the memecoin. One notable introduction is Shibarium, an Ethereum layer-2 solution. The project has also explored the stablecoin and play-to-earn markets, among others.
As the memecoin market experiences remarkable growth, SHIB has witnessed its own upward trajectory. Earlier this month, it climbed from being among the top 20 cryptocurrencies by market cap to the top 11, surpassing Polygon, Chainlink, Tron, Polkadot, and Avalanche. Shiba Inu even came close to overtaking its rival dog-themed memecoin, Dogecoin.
Currently, SHIB holds the 13th position in terms of market cap. Its trading price stands at $0.00002917, representing a 4.7% increase in the last 24 hours.
