BitMex collaborates with PowerTrade to launch options trading for BTC, DOGE, BNB, ETH, XRP, and additional cryptocurrencies.
BitMex, a prominent peer-to-peer cryptocurrency trading platform, has made an exciting announcement regarding the introduction of options trading for popular cryptocurrencies such as BTC, DOGE, ETH, and more. This endeavor was made possible through a partnership with PowerTrade, a mobile crypto trading platform. With options trading, traders now have the opportunity to buy or sell a specific asset at a predetermined price in the future.
The newly launched platform boasts features that adhere to the highest industry standards for security and performance, making it particularly appealing to institutional traders. Mario Gomez Lozada, the CEO of PowerTrade, emphasized the advantages of BitMEX’s extensive market liquidity and PowerTrade’s trader-centric technology. By collaborating, traders will enjoy a seamless and high-performing trading experience, perfectly suited to the needs of serious traders who seek reliable and efficient trading tools.
BitMex has recently introduced options trading with an enticing offer. The exchange took to its X (formerly Twitter) account earlier today to announce the expansion of its offerings, unveiling options trading where users can engage in a wide range of crypto options margined in Bitcoin, USDT, or USDC. To sweeten the deal, BitMex revealed that all options trading would be completely fee-free, and users depositing $1000 or more for the remainder of May will receive an instant 20 USDC bonus upon signing up.
Once the promotional period concludes, BitMex’s options trading fees will align with its existing spot trading fees. This move is part of BitMex’s strategy to seamlessly integrate the options platform into its current ecosystem, providing users with a consistent and predictable cost model when trading a variety of digital assets.
It is important to note that all options on BitMex will be priced and settled in USDC, the second-largest stablecoin in the market. In addition to Bitcoin and Ethereum, other options such as DOGE, SOL, XRP, and BNB are also available.
In 2022, PowerTrade formed a partnership with the British custody company Copper to offer custodial services to institutions. Subsequently, BitMex and PowerTrade established a strategic partnership in December 2023, aiming to enhance the trading experiences of professional players.
