Kava Chain Officially Launches on Fireblocks, Enabling Institutional Access to Cosmos DeFi
Kava Chain, a decentralized blockchain that operates on the Cosmos-Ethereum interoperable Layer 1, is now accessible on Fireblocks, a enterprise platform that manages digital asset operations and facilitates the creation of innovative blockchain-based businesses. This integration will provide secure access for Fireblocks customers to the expanding Cosmos DeFi ecosystem through the Kava Chain.

Previously, Kava Chain faced challenges in engaging with top-tier crypto institutions due to the lack of a robust connection to an MPC (multi-party computation) custody technology provider. However, the Fireblocks integration now allows over 1,800 leading digital asset and crypto institutions to safely custody KAVA tokens and access Kava-native assets, including Cosmos-native USDt, which was exclusively selected by Tether to be issued on Kava Chain.
This integration not only improves institutional access to Kava but also enables Fireblocks customers to engage in DeFi opportunities within the Kava ecosystem, participate in market-making using Cosmos-native USDt on major exchanges, and explore new USDt DeFi opportunities on prominent Cosmos appchains.
