Shibtoshi maintains a calm and unwavering demeanor, accompanied and protected by a vigilant giant squid, with Mount Fuji in the background. The painting, titled “Shibtoshi,” is entirely hand-drawn to ensure its organic and soulful nature. The community has shown immense love for the artwork, and Shibtoshi himself has commissioned an exact Japanese-style hand-painted replica from the artist.
The painter expressed a profound sense of achievement and pride, stating, “Perhaps my lifelong fascination with Japanese art and culture was all leading to this moment, to this project, to this community.” This overwhelming support for Shibtoshi is not surprising, as he truly values the community. The SquidGrow creator considers the growing project community to be his proudest achievement.
